Honoring Black History Month at Coyote

At Coyote, Black History Month isn’t just a moment—it’s a reminder of the creativity, influence, and cultural impact Black communities have had on the world, and especially on advertising and marketing as we know it today.

From shaping culture-driving campaigns to setting the tone for what’s next, Black creatives, strategists, storytellers, and leaders have long pushed this industry forward—often without the recognition they deserve. This month, we’re taking time to honor that legacy, celebrate the present, and make space for the voices continuing to define the future.

Throughout February, Coyote will be spotlighting Black excellence across advertising, marketing, media, and creative industries. We’ll be sharing stories, insights, and inspiration from Black professionals whose work has moved culture, challenged norms, and raised the bar for what meaningful brand storytelling can be. We’ll also be highlighting the ways Black creativity continues to influence how brands connect, communicate, and show up authentically.

This isn’t about checking a box or limiting celebration to one month. It’s about acknowledgment, appreciation, and action. It’s about recognizing the responsibility we have—as an agency built on collaboration and creativity—to amplify voices, support talent, and create space for perspectives that make our work stronger and more relevant.

As Coyote, we believe in showing up with intention, respect, and care. That means listening, learning, and celebrating loudly—while continuing to do the work behind the scenes to build a more inclusive, equitable industry year-round.

We invite our community, partners, and peers to join us throughout February as we honor Black history, celebrate Black brilliance, and highlight the creativity that continues to shape culture and drive progress in advertising and marketing.
